Well this is a pleasant surprise for us Jesse fans, Deadline has premiered the first trailer for “Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes” and it looks really great.
The story revolves around a troubled young woman (Emanuel) who becomes obsessed with her mysterious new neighbor (Linda), who bears a striking resemblance to the girl’s dead mother.
The trailer really gives you a feel for what the film is about without giving away too much.. and I love it. Be sure to check out the trailer below and leave your thoughts in the comments;
I watched the trailer yesterday and now I really HAVE to see the film. All the subtle elements combined with
the music and dark atmosphere made it perfectly mysterious. In my opinion, the right amount of teasing
material to make you want to see the whole film and find out more about these intense characters. I also loved seeing
Aneurin Barnard featured in it and I’m looking forward to his scenes already.
Anyway, it’s definitely one of Jesse’s more interesting film projects since “The Tall Man,” which I enjoyed very much, and I can’t wait to see how she will portray her character. Movies with in-depth characters and profound story lines are always the most enjoyable ones, in my opinion.
