Jessica Biel Central: 2013 Year in Review

Welp that went by quickly.. I can still recall writing last years review and talking about the whirlwind of releases Jess had. 2013 was a bit more on the quiet side but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a lot going on. From promoting “The Truth About Emanuel” to attending a handful of Dior events, Jess was always doing something!

Starting the year off strong, Jesse’s first appearance of 2013 was for the premiere of, then, “Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes” at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival in Utah. This was Jessica’s second film to screen at the festival, the first being “The Illusionist,” us Jess fans were all crazy excited to see what the movie was all about. The film opened to rave reviews which didn’t help our anticipation.

On the high of “Emanuel” reviews, Jess went to the Grammy’s with Justin in order to show her support for his musical success and was sitting with Beyonce & Jay-Z, which provided some great photos. After that we had the Brit Awards, Tom Ford Fashion Show, and then it was off to Germany.

While “Emanuel” was doing it’s festival tour, Jess took that time to go with JT on his 20/20 Experience Tour with Jay-Z, and she was seen at countless shows, singing and dancing with the fans.. So cute.

In the Fall, Jesse fans were itching for a new role as it had been over a year since she had signed onto the aforementioned “Emanuel.” That’s when we got word Jess had signed onto a project titled “Shiva & May,” and a few weeks later it was confirmed and she was on set. This is an interesting and different part for Jess, she’s has always played a character that wasn’t her but she is now playing a “peaceful yoga instructor,” could it be more perfect? Directed by Diane Bell and Produced by Super Crispy Entertainment, “Shiva & May” should be making it’s mark in 2014 and I can’t wait.

And I think it’s safe to say, the personal peak of 2013 would of course be meeting Jess at the “The Truth About Emanuel” premiere in Hollywood, CA earlier this month. What a way to end an amazing year, right?

New Divorce Rumors because Jessica Didn’t Attend SNL

Welp that didn’t take long. Jess did not attend Saturday Night Live where husband Justin Timberlake was the musical guest, and that sparked every blogger to rehash the “divorce” story. Here is an article from RadarOnline:

Justin Timberlake‘s biggest fan and wife, Jessica Biel, wasn’t present for his appearance on Saturday Night Live over the weekend leading partygoer’s at the after-party to question whether the couple has broken up, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Reports swirled that there’s trouble in paradise surrounding the A-list couple when Timberlake was recently spotted without his wedding band on during his new tour and Biel’s absence on Saturday night has only fueled the fire.

“Justin was solo again at the Saturday Night Live after party and he stayed until nearly 5 a.m.,” a fellow partygoer exclusively told Radar.

“Everyone was buzzing about her absence.”

Biel was also noticeably absent from Timberlake’s American Music Awards appearance in Nov. which she addressed on Twitter saying, “I’m watching from home tonight. Calm down, Internet.”

The partygoer also reveals that Biel didn’t accompany her husband to the show’s rehearsal’s on Friday.

“She wasn’t with him at rehearsals on Friday either, which was sort of weird,” the source said.

“And it’s not that Justin was flirting with other women or anything at the party but something just didn’t seem right. It was literally what everyone was talking about; whether he and Jessica have split.”

Timberlake did have his wedding band on at the party but barely spoke of his wife, the insider revealed.

Do you think there’s a breakup on the brink for Timberlake and Biel?

Huh? The insanity behind the TimberBiel relationship is so confusing, they expect her to be by his side 24/7, but he gets no flack for not attending her events? Yep..  Misogyny at it’s finest.

“The Truth About Emanuel” Eligible for ‘Oscar’ Nominations

While it is a long shot, “The Truth About Emanuel” has made the list of films eligible for Oscar nominations this award season.

To qualify for the 86th Academy Awards, a film must be exhibited for at least seven days in a Los Angeles County theater by the end of the year and last longer than 40 minutes.

While that may sound easy enough, it’s a struggle for a lot of Indie films to even screen in one theater theater, so I’d like to congratulate everyone over at Team Emanuel for making it this far.

If Francesca and/or the film gets a nomination from the Academy, that would be amazing but unfortunately, like any other competition, it’s a popularity contest and people have already picked who they want to see at this years ceremony. It’s not out of the question, but it’s a long shot. That’s okay, being the underdog has it’s advantages.

“The Truth About Emanuel” is available for rent on On Demand, iTunes, Amazon, and other online retailers. It makes it way to select theaters starting January 10th, 2014!

Prayer circle for Jesse / the film / Francesa tbh.
