Welcome to week number two of “Movie of the Week” where we’ll discuss Jesse’s brief but memorable part in 2005’s “Elizabethtown.”

The film, which was written and directed by Cameron Crowe, follows Drew Baylor (Orlando Bloom) and Claire Colburn (Kirsten Dunst) as they fall in love among an odd time in Baylors life. A failed shoe designed and a flight attendant, Drew and Claire’s romance begins to blossom even among all of the sad.

As I mentioned above, Jesse’s part is brief but good. She plays Ellen Kishmore, who is Drew’s ex-girlfriend and also works at the same company as he does. With her 10 minutes of screen time we get to see a feisty an opinionated character who may not actually have the best intentions for anyone but herself. All I can say is… “it’s been great, and it’s been really great.”

If Jesse’s 10 minutes wasn’t enough for you to see the film (and I don’t know why that wouldn’t be) it also stars Susan Sarandon, Alec Baldwin, Judy Greer (Playing for Keeps), and recent racist, Paula Deen. Check out the trailer below and head to your local used DVD store and pick up your copy! Bet ya can find it for $5 or less ;).

Fun fact: Jesse and ex-boyfriend Chris Evans both auditioned for the lead roles. Later that year they starred in “London” together.
